South Fork Farm is located in a quiet hollow along the banks of the South Fork of the Red River, and minutes from Slade, Kentucky, and all of the hiking trails of the Red River Gorge. Since we purchased this land over a decade ago, we have been working to clean, restore, and improve the property. The large bottomland field was reclaimed and replanted with native grasses and forbs. We planted over 1,000 trees to reclaim the creek’s riparian buffer, and have witnessed the return of deer, turkey, rabbits, birds, fish, and bear — yes, bear!

We have, in recent years, remodeled our farmhouse and started sharing it and our slice of the Red River Gorge experience with others. In the last couple of years, we added two additional cabins, and are building what will be the ONLY mountain biking trails to be found in the gorge.
