Mom

My mother’s always been a hard worker, raising her family, working as a special education and music teacher, and in her later years, caring for my father, who had Parkinson’s. After my father passed away, our relationship improved in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I think it meant a lot to me to see how important I was to her, and it gave me great pride knowing she trusted and relied on me since her husband passed on.

She will admit she is set in her ways and a bit of a homebody. She loves her routine and rarely fades from its path. However, on rare occasions, I have been able to encourage her to step out of her comfort zone.

These photos were taken from the few times I convinced her to go on an adventure with me. Each time we did, there were a few things in common. She would always have a great time and we always established a moment in time that will leave a lasting memory.

I love you, mom.
