On Top of See Rocks

I have been looking admiringly at See Rocks for well over a decade now, and I have heard it has been climbed in the past before the landowners shut down access. Through some connections, we were granted permission to climb it.

I owe a big “thank you” to Jesse for taking the harrowing lead and placing the gear. We went off some old beta from one of the four known routes. The first pitch was terrific and topped out about two-thirds from the top on a great ledge. The second pitch, which Jessee took a first ascent on, was less than stellar, but we topped out incident free.

We’ll have to go back and check out the other peaks, and when I do, I’ll be sure my drone batteries have a full charge so I can get better footage.

I will say the cliffs look small from the valley floor but are very impressive when you are at the base of them. These pictures don’t do it justice.

It was also enjoyable looking back at South Fork Farm from inside the arch and viewing the See Rocks Cabin and See Rocks Vista Cabin from a new perspective.
